The entire image consists of a single 1,4 Kilometer (0,87 Miles) long black thread wound around 8137 small nails.
The 550 picture consists exclusively of nails and a single thread. Nothing is printed. No color! The image is created by several thousand nails and a single thread.

If you step closer to the picture, the three-dimensionality of the motif is revealed by its filigree structure.
From a distance, the individual thread segments blur and form the impression of a black and white photograph.

The picture is equipped with a permanently attached shadow gap frame made of matte black painted aluminum.
